The great Mahanadi river is the lifeline of Chandrapur and the fertile land of this area gets nourishment from this river of religious importance. The power and strength of agrarian economy is at its best here. Great visionary businessman Mr. Prahalad Rai Agrawal made Chandrapur a hub of agriculture based industries where enthusiastic entrepreneurs joined hand with local farmers and worked as a family. Himself a great devotee of Mata Chandrahasini, Mr Prahalad Rai Agrawal decided to form a trust where like-minded people will work together for serving the people of this area. Thus, Chandrahasini Temple trust came into existence with a purpose to serve Mata Chandrahasini and her great family comprising of innocent residents of this area who have unwavering faith on her powers and glory. When we look at the composition of the trust we find that all the trustees have one quality in common- they are selfless and silent workers dedicated to spread happiness among the poor and the deprival.

Chandrahasini Vidyapeeth is a magnificent dream that Mr Prahalad Rai saw when he learnt the true meaning of –Saa Vidyayaa Vimuktaye- in the illustrious company of the two local legends of international fame, famous poet Padmashri Mukutdhar pandey and Sahityavachaspati Lochan Prasad Pandey who was also a great historian and archaeologist. The present bodies of trustees are committed to turn this great dream into reality.

We are inspired by the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda “We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one's own feet. We also share the views of Dr Radhakrishnan who feels that “A life of joy and happiness is possible only on the basis of knowledge and science.”

Our aim is to develop essential human qualities in our students. Before becoming a doctor or an engineer or an administrator or a political leader in the field of their choice we also pay equal emphasis on the cultural and social aspect of their personality.

We are very fortunate that the spiritual gurus, top intellectuals and leading social workers have always encouraged us. Their precious views and important suggestions matter a lot to us.
